For new installations, you'll need a grille and wall sleeve, though existing ones may suffice if replacing a PTAC unit. As an owner/operator, you can choose from four temperature ranges to optimize comfort and efficiency. Hotpoint integrates an Intuitive Display on the user-friendly control panel, allowing easy customization through soft touch pads. Hotpoint PTAC units feature a nine-point diagnostic code system for quick identification of service needs. In case of power failures, the Auto Power Recovery function restores your unit to its previous mode once power returns. Freeze and Frost Protection mechanisms maintain unit integrity by monitoring coil temperature, pausing compressor operation until coils warm up while keeping the fan running.

Additional features include remote thermostat capability, centralized desk control, removable filters for easy maintenance, and a tangential fan for smooth, quiet airflow. The AH12H09E3B model operates as a 265V commercial PTAC cooling unit with reverse cycle heat pump and electric back-up heat. It offers a cooling capacity of 9,000 BTUs and 8,100 BTUs from the heat pump, boasting an 11.3 EER rating and 3.3 COP. The 20 amp power cord supports 3.5 kW of electric back-up heat.
