A through-the-wall / TTW air conditioner is less intrusive and will not obstruct your window view! The Amana PBC123G00CC is both powerful and quiet. It features 11800 / 12000 BTUs of cooling power and boasts a 9.8 EER. It will efficiently cool a room that is about 400 - 550 sq. ft. The Amana TTWs are installed into a wall, using a standard sized 26" wall sleeve and grille (sold separately). Using the attached 8 ft. long, LCDI three-prong power cord, this unit will plug into a standard household outlet. The power cord is a 15 amp, 208 / 230V cord with a 6-15P plug face.
The Amana TTW units include several standard and convenient features. A slide-out chassis allows for easy installation as well as easy access for service and maintenance. An easy to use and read electronic touch pad is prominently featured right on the front of the unit. Also included is a remote control for effortless control! Conditioned air is discharged through the front/top with a 4-way adjustable airflow. Slide-out access to the permanent filter with polypropylene mesh makes cleaning the filter easy to remove and re-install. Maintaining your thru-the-wall air conditioner is an important step in the longevity of your unit. To further allow for a complete and fast cleaning of the outdoor coils, the condenser top can be removed.
The Amana PBC123G00CC is also wired thermostat capable, allowing for temperature control of your unit with a standard hardwired thermostat. These include both the non-programmable, PHWT-A150H, and programmable, PHWT-A200, thermostats.
Amana conducts 100% full factory run test on all units. This provides the consumer with reliable, dependable and quiet operation from the first time you start it! The PBC123G00CC is designed to last and Amana backs that up with a 1 year parts and labor and a 5 year compressor warranty.
A sleeve and grille are required for new installations. Chassis dimensions are 15 5/8" high x 26" wide x 16 7/8" deep. Amana thru-the-wall units use a standard 26" wall sleeve (PBWS01A) with solid sides and bottom. They will also fit many competitors wall sleeves.
